As Christ hung on the cross, there were two thieves on crosses on either side of him. One of them spoke to the Savior and asked, “Remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43) This must have given comfort to the thief during his last hours. It also gives us comfort to know of our Saviors love for us, regardless of our choices.
